Space Applications Expert, Satellite Navigation & Connectivity

About the role

We are looking for a highly qualified Space Applications Expert to support satellite navigation, GNSS, augmentation systems and satellite connectivity activities, and to promote the uptake of space‑based applications across Africa. The role will contribute to the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme, enhancing policy dialogue, knowledge exchange and private‑sector engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Support activities related to satellite navigation, GNSS and augmentation systems.
• Support satellite connectivity initiatives and broadband services.
• Facilitate development and adoption of space‑based applications throughout African markets.
• Collaborate with African and European stakeholders to align technical solutions with programme objectives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, aeronautics, geomatics or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in satellite navigation, telecommunications or related applications.
• At least 4 years of experience with satellite‑navigation or connectivity applications, including GNSS, SBAS, aviation, maritime or satellite broadband.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
