About the role
Prendi is an English learning app that combines technology with private tutoring, serving Cape Verdeans at home and in the diaspora and Portuguese-speaking professionals in Europe and the US. It is looking for a certified English teacher to work fully remotely, with a small group of Portuguese-speaking students.
Key responsibilities
- Meet each student one-on-one for up to 40 minutes a week.
- Practice real-life conversation, correct grammar and fix pronunciation.
- Use a dashboard that shows where each student stands.
Required profile
- A degree in English studies, a recognized English teaching certificate, or 4+ years teaching English as a second language.
- Based in Cape Verde.
- Fluent in Cape Verdean Creole, Portuguese and English.
