Local Unit Analyst 1 – Cape Verde (Permanent, Full‑time)

About the role

Under the direction of the Area Membership and Statistical Records Manager, the Local Unit Analyst ensures that finances and record‑keeping for assigned local units are managed accurately and on time. The role includes training leaders, submitting reports to headquarters, and analysing trends to support decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced training to local unit leaders and clerks on record‑keeping and finance procedures.
• Monitor and verify that local unit records are completed according to Church metrics.
• Assist with finance and membership audits and resolve related issues.
• Prepare and present statistical analyses and other reports for the Area.
• Troubleshoot record‑keeping application problems and support escalated unit issues.
• Help local leaders prepare unit organisation applications.
• Identify opportunities to improve record‑keeping processes and participate in related projects.
• Conduct internal control reviews and manage large operational databases.
• Act as project manager or team member on technical projects affecting the department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in business, accounting, finance or a related area.
• Strong interpersonal skills for training priesthood leaders.
• Fluency in Portuguese with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, travel frequently and work extended hours when needed.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of basic software applications.
• Excellent computer application troubleshooting skills.
