Senior Auditor – Assurance Team (Praia, Cabo Verde)

About the role

EY is expanding its Assurance practice in Cabo Verde and is looking for a Senior Auditor to join the team in Praia. You will work on a variety of national and international client engagements, applying EY methodologies and professional standards to deliver high‑quality audit services.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in audit and assurance engagements for diverse clients, ensuring compliance with EY methodologies and applicable standards.
• Execute audit procedures covering financial reporting, internal controls, and risk assessment.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements in line with relevant accounting frameworks.
• Identify, analyse, and communicate audit findings, risks, and improvement opportunities to project teams and clients.
• Maintain regular, effective communication with clients to build long‑term professional relationships.
• Contribute to team effectiveness through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a positive working environment.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in audit or assurance, preferably in a professional services environment.
• Ability to work in multicultural and dynamic teams.
• Strong sense of responsibility, ethics, confidentiality and integrity.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting standards.
• Proficiency in audit methodologies.
• Experience with financial reporting and internal controls.
• Risk assessment expertise.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese.
