International Consultant Team Leader

About the role

The International Consultant Team Leader will head an Evaluation Team delivering high‑quality deliverables for UNEG and DCO. The role involves operationalising the evaluation design, ensuring compliance with UN standards, and guiding the team through data collection to final reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare an Inception Report that refines scope, objectives, Theory of Change, methodology, stakeholder mapping, work plan and risk mitigation.
• Develop and validate data collection tools such as interview guides, focus‑group protocols and survey instruments.
• Oversee field data collection, maintain a curated database, and draft interim evaluation reports.
• Present findings to the Evaluation Management Group and produce the final evaluation report.
• Coordinate with the UN Resident Coordinator, Evaluation Steering Committee and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading evaluation or consultancy teams in international settings.
• Strong understanding of evaluation design, Theory of Change, and UN evaluation guidelines.
• Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines and stakeholder expectations.
