Intern - Partnerships

About the role

This unpaid, full‑time internship supports the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office in Cabo Verde. Working under the Partnership and Development Finance Officer, the intern will gain hands‑on experience in facilitating dialogue with government, private sector, civil society and other stakeholders to advance development assistance and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in drafting official documents, correspondence, briefing notes and concept notes.
• Develop presentations, infographics and visual briefs for meetings and external engagements.
• Produce minutes, summary reports and action trackers from meetings, workshops and consultations.
• Support planning, coordination and logistics for RCO events and partnership meetings.
• Contribute to social media outreach and broader communication efforts on partnership themes.
• Conduct background research, collect and synthesize data related to partnerships and gender‑equality initiatives.
• Maintain partnership databases, stakeholder mappings, contact lists and track commitments.
• Assist in implementing the RCO’s normative workplan and inter‑agency engagement.

Required profile

• Enrolled as a final‑year university student in a field related to international development, public policy, communications or a similar discipline.
• Motivation to work in a multicultural UN environment and support development priorities.
