Freelance Linguistics Specialist (English to Brazilian Portuguese)

About the role
We are seeking bilingual speakers to join Editage’s global pool of freelance contributors. As a Linguistics Specialist you will work remotely on a variety of short‑term, task‑based assignments that support AI and language projects.
Key responsibilities
- Review and refine texts, translations and captions in domains such as travel, food, lifestyle and finance.
- Transcribe spoken conversations and perform quality checks.
- Label or annotate voice, text or image content for machine‑learning datasets.
- Review and correct outputs generated by AI systems.
- Assist in localising content for AI language models.
Required profile
- Near‑native proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese.
- Strong command of English.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
- Previous experience in translation, editing or related language tasks is preferred.
