Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer (Freelance, On-Call)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to provide break‑and‑fix support on an on‑call freelance basis for enterprise infrastructure in Cape Verde. The role involves both onsite and remote troubleshooting, ensuring high‑quality service for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite and remote break‑and‑fix support for networking and infrastructure incidents.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization, and network issues.
• Resolve network connectivity problems (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Implement and support backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Respond to critical incidents within agreed response times.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud projects.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and incident reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking, or IT support engineering.
• Valid CCNA certification and fluent English communication.
• Strong professionalism and customer‑facing skills.
