Project Management Support Contractor

About the role

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking an Individual Contractor to provide advanced project management, coordination and implementation support for its anti‑organized crime and counter‑narcotics initiatives in Cabo Verde. The contractor will work on‑site in Praia, ensuring that project activities are delivered on time, within budget and in line with UNODC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day technical and operational support to project implementation, aligning activities with approved workplans.
• Collect, compile and analyse project data, maintain monitoring systems and contribute to results‑based management.
• Prepare high‑quality narrative and financial reporting inputs, consolidating information from partners and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with UNODC rules, maintain audit‑ready documentation and support audit follow‑up.
• Coordinate meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagements, preparing agendas, minutes and follow‑up actions.
• Document lessons learned, best practices and produce knowledge products.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in project coordination, monitoring and reporting within an international or development context.
• Strong understanding of UN administrative and compliance procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
